Are you an advocate for healthier workplaces for employees in New Orleans? Do you believe all employees and musicians in New Orleans’ bars and casinos deserve to breathe smoke-free air? Are you willing to promote the benefits of a SmokeFreeNOLA?

Nearly two-thirds of Louisiana residents agree that smoking should not be allowed at all in indoor work areas. Starting April 22nd, New Orleans will implement a smoke-free ordinance to protect employees and musicians who work in bars, restaurants and casinos from exposure to secondhand smoke in the workplace.

#SmokeFreeNOLA supports healthier air for everyone in New Orleans because everyone has the right to breathe smoke-free air. Share your opinion below to show support for smoke-free environments across New Orleans.

  1. I went to doctor with a tightness in my chest and difficulty breathing. Diagnosed with COPD. I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life but was playing in New Orleans bars 7 nights a week 4 to 8 hours a night.

I’ve had to stop playing much or even going out to hear my friends because the smoke makes me sick. I play in Texas, Alabama & Europe where smoking is not allowed in bars. I’m really looking forward to being able to play in New Orleans again.
